Just finished this very quick sew. Fleece lined sweatshirt with lovely sleeves and a cosy neckline. @simplicitymccallsuk pattern came free with @lovesewingmag . . Details; fabric from @sew__jessalli a thick fleece lines sweatshirt fabric. . I added a band and more length to my version. Next time I will use ribbed fabric for band and cuffs and cut them smaller. . The experimental sewing project is finished and it fits! Absolutely love the pattern. I have plans for a plain version with longer wider sleeves, in a handwoven cotton. Blouse is comfortable and easy to wear. It simply pulls over your head. . Serendipity stepped in when I ran out of scrap fabric for this toile version and made up the rest with a vintage scarf ! . Sometimes an empty beer bottle and a chrysanthemum rescued from the rain is enough. It doesn’t have to be all singing all dancing does it? The chair and the table top had just been brought in from the garden. So I plonked my ‘vase’ down and snapped. It’s more about seeing what’s in front of you and less about what others are doing, am I right, or am I rambling? . The beer bottle was my sons I brought it back from the restaurant because I loved its simplicity. My son has just been discharged from hospital after spending 3 nights in with pneumonia. We never stop worrying about our children do we? So this little bottle is my reminder to just be grateful for the simple things, the things without artifice, the real things, and for the gift of seeing them . Just finished this very quick sew. Fleece lined sweatshirt with lovely sleeves and a cosy neckline. @simplicitymccallsuk pattern came free with @lovesewingmag . . Details; fabric from @sew__jessalli a thick fleece lines sweatshirt fabric. . I added a band and more length to my version. Next time I will use ribbed fabric for band and cuffs and cut them smaller. . The experimental sewing project is finished and it fits! Absolutely love the pattern. I have plans for a plain version with longer wider sleeves, in a handwoven cotton. Blouse is comfortable and easy to wear. It simply pulls over your head. . Serendipity stepped in when I ran out of scrap fabric for this toile version and made up the rest with a vintage scarf ! .
