Yesterday I cut it out. Today I wore it, cool, comfy and gloriously voluminous. My first completed project from a Japanese sewing book. . The Nani Iro Sewing Studio book. @atelier_to_naniiro_textile I chose the work shirt pattern. Lovely details. . Most of my time was spent preparing and tracing off the pattern. You have to add seam allowances. (When I had rescued it from the cat that is) i have always avoided the faff of patterns like this but it was worth the effort I think? . A collared shirt with front placket and gathers. I altered the sleeves to make them wider. . Now officially obsessed with Japanese sewing books. I have 3 and waiting for one to arrive from Tokyo. Yesterday I cut it out. Today I wore it, cool, comfy and gloriously voluminous. My first completed project from a Japanese sewing book. . The Nani Iro Sewing Studio book. @atelier_to_naniiro_textile I chose the work shirt pattern. Lovely details. . Most of my time was spent preparing and tracing off the pattern. You have to add seam allowances. (When I had rescued it from the cat that is) i have always avoided the faff of patterns like this but it was worth the effort I think? . A collared shirt with front placket and gathers. I altered the sleeves to make them wider. . Now officially obsessed with Japanese sewing books. I have 3 and waiting for one to arrive from Tokyo. I love the simplicity of the lines and that there are no frills or froufrou. .
