Clothes Doctor Protects & Extends The Life Of Clothes
It’s that time of year again. If you are like me, it is the time of year when you store your heavy winter clothes away to make room for your summer ones. The time of year when we get out our summer dresses and hopefully find them intact. Because it also coincides with Moth season. Those pesky little insects invade our homes and wardrobes, munch on our clothes leaving behind a trail of destruction and devastation. I know from experience how upsetting it can be. Eco Friendly Clothes Doctor Products are Natural Deterrents
Clothes Doctor products contain plant-based fragrances and are vegan, cruelty-free, palm oil free and biodegradable. Beautifully packaged in infinitely recyclable aluminium bottles, with compostable labels
So how do we protect our clothes without harming the environment or our health? Here are a few tips for you that might help you deal with this problem in a natural and eco-friendly way using Clothes Doctor.

Clothes Doctor & Moth Protection
First, you need to identify where the moths are coming from and what they are attracted to. Moths usually lay their eggs in dark and humid places, such as under the bed, behind the furniture, or in the corners of your drawers and wardrobes. They also love to feed on natural fibres like wool, silk and cotton. So make sure you check these areas regularly and clean them thoroughly.
Secondly, you need to protect your clothes and fabrics from the moths. One way to do that is to store them in sealed plastic bags or containers with some Clothes Doctor Scent Bags. These natural repellents will keep the moths away and give your clothes a wonderful fragrance. You can hang the scent bags in your wardrobe or leave them in your drawers to protect your clothes from moth damage. I don’t use mothballs, because they contain toxic chemicals that can harm your health, your pets and the environment.

Moth repellents I use Clothes Doctor Detergent, Knitwear Mist, Steamer water and Scent bags.
If you want to keep your clothes in good shape and prevent them from being eaten by moths, you need a natural moth repellent that really works.
Detergents that are made in the UK from natural ingredients
After gently washing my knitwear with Basil & Mandarin Leaf Eco Liquid Detergent I hung them outside to dry naturally. The scent is gorgeous.
Whilst these products have a slightly high price point, they are super quality and you only need a tiny amount. Per litre of wash it averages 50 washes. As we only wash twice a week, this will last us 6 months. If you have sensitive skin I can recommend the Eco Silk and Delicates wash lightly scented with bergamot and sandalwood.
Later I added a tiny amount of Blue Lily and Bergamot No.11 Steamer Water to my iron for some light pressing. The fragrance is so fresh I wish Clothes Doctor made it as a perfume!

Clothing Care Sprays
Before packing away I sprayed each piece with the No 14 Knitwear mist, Lavender and Thyme. It smells absolutely beautiful and will keep my knits soft and fresh. It contains natural cleaning agents reducing the need to wash your favourite knits and extending their life. Knits I am keeping around for summer will be folded into drawers with a natural moth repellent scent bag. My favourite is Treat me scented with Dried Orange Peel and an aromatic blend of Cinnamon, Cloves, and Star Anise.
