I am an avid fan of Trend Patterns having made the Knot Front tunic/dress and have several patterns waiting to be made up. Lucy has designed for the runway and many Top fashion labels. She cuts her designs extremely well, everything is accurate and sews up easily.
I did not quilt this one, but the next one will be quilted. Highly recomend the style and its so warm to wear whilst on the dog walk.
Trend Patterns Hood Details
I downloaded a PDF version, because the pieces are small and I wanted to make it immediately. You will need probably less than a metre of fabric, but do make sure its a wide width. pattern recommends 1m of 140cm wide fabric. The hood is lined so I played around with some of my scraps and made one from faux fur and pleather. I loved the result. Thinking of making the next one from large vintage scarf and quilting it as in the pattern illustration.
Trend Patterns are a joy to sew.
I’ve just ordered the Draped Hem Skirt in a printed pattern. It will be marvellous for Summer. This is How Lucy describes Trend Patterns . . .

A quick tip when sewing with fur . . .
Overlock the edges as quickly as possible, or you will be inhaling fluff all day. To hide the seams when sewing with fur, use a pet brush and brush the edges until the seam line disappears.
