Seasonal Skincare Review 5 Products On Repeat
A beauty review of recent seasonal skincare products I have discovered, loved and used is long overdue. Therefore, may I present for your delectation a review of 5 summer beauty items that have caught my eye, their benefits (or not, as the case may be) and why I have enjoyed using them.
The last few months have given us some extraordinarily hot and dry weather conditions that our poor complexions have had to cope with and suffer through. Here then, are 5 summer products that have been instrumental in keeping my skin healthy, happy and problem free.
Take a look, you may find something appropriate or useful for your skin too?
Rest assured all the products I am recommending to you are cruelty free
Seasonal Skincare Products I Use On Repeat & will Buy again.
1 Youth To The People Superfood Cleanser
A summer essential, a light cleanser that works effectively to remove sweat, oil and of course makeup. There is a reason this one is a cult best seller. The perfect morning cleanser, I keep it in the shower and not only does it do its job but it also leaves my skin feeling refreshed, ready for the day ahead, not dry and tight.
I use two types of cleanser, this one for morning as I prefer to use a lightly foaming cleanser to wash off night creams, sweat and facial oils then in the evening I use a balm to remove tough makeup and SPF products.

About Youth To The People
Youth To The People were founded in 2015, as a family business based in California. Sustainability is at the heart of everything they do and make. They are a pro-grade ethical, vegan company. Skincare products are made from super foods. I can highly recommend. The products are available in the UK via Cult Beauty

2. Typology
The Paris-based brand was created by Ning Li, founder of home furnishing company made.com, and sets out to promote transparency in the beauty industry. Vegan, cruelty free and made in France. Free from Parabens, Phenoxyethanol, Paraffin Oil and Sulphates.
Typology eyelash and brow serum this wonder product helped my eye brows thicken and lengthen over approximately 6 months (not a quick fix, but it really works). My lashes grew and even started curling at the ends (instead of sticking out like a fringe of twigs) It cost £16.80 an absolute bargain, considering the results. Packaged in a glass bottle with a mascara wand in the lid, you brush it on your brows and lashes each evening before bed. One bottle lasts a long time.
Contains Pea Petides 2% and caster oil.
As a best seller it is often sold out so buy it when you can!
3. Beauty Pie Luxury makeup and skincare
Commission links in use
There will always be a beauty pie product in one of my skincare reviews. Brilliantly priced (if you are a member) I have never had a bad experience, with either their service or their products, some are more suited to my older skin, than others. Seasonal Skincare is something they are excellent at, bringing out summer edits every year. You get luxury skincare without the hefty price tags
Youth Bomb™ 360 radiance concentrate
I apply this super serum after cleansing, before my moisturiser, morning and night. I noticed a difference after a week of using it, clearer healthy looking natural skin. dare I say it more glow?

4. Lola Vie Hair Care
OK I know this is not skincare! BUT, I like it so much and it has truly helped my hair stay healthy and manageable throughout our UK summer heatwave (so far, so good) Therefore as a midlife woman I cant help but share anything that makes life easier and hope it will help you too!.
Lola Vie is founded by the one and only Jennifer Anniston. I will admit to having been ‘influnced’ by her celebrity status, afterall she does have the best hair on the planet, in my humble opinion. plus at 53 she has had a lifetime experience of good hair.
I gave it a try and bought two travel size products. the Perfecting Leave In Conditioner (oh how I love a leave in conditioner) and the Glossing Detangler. tThese products do exactly what i want them to do. they keep my hair soft, managable and best of all fuzz free! Oh and the smell is divine, I am imagining JA herself probably smells like that too.
On a Personal note, I have long, thick, straight hair. My biggest problems are tangles, dry ends and ‘fuzzy bits‘ (a technical hair term!) So, although both these products work hard for me. they may not be the best for your hair care needs, every one is different.
All cruelty free and sustainable. Available to ship to the UK from the US, but postage can be steep. Maybe pair up with a friend and split the cost?

5. This works 24hr skin solutions
This works Perfect legs 100% Natural scrub has been a staple in my bathroom for the last couple of years, A pot lasts a few months with weekly use and I keep it in the shower. Great not only for leaving you with lusciously soft moisturised legs, but also for shifting those stubborn ingrowing hairs. I use it everywhere, my bum loves it too! Thank goodness I have a backup pot as Im coming to the end of one. A super seasonal skincare product, it is superb for getting rid of patchy suntans and dry skin at the end of summer. The fragrance is gorgeous, uplifting and refreshing.
What more can I say this is a hardworking scrub that gets results. I like it and actually use a lot of This Works body products, why? because they work!
A buttery exfoliating balm with Pink Himalayan Sea Salts, plus uplifting essential oils for a natural body glow.
