April 2021 Five Things. A Journal Edit
Looking back at April 2021 this is a type of diary post I label ‘lately’ These posts actually help me to remember what we achieved and how we/I spent our days. At my age I find it hard to remember what I had for breakfast let alone what I did last week! lockdown of course made it all worse as the days and months merged into one.

April 2021
I believe April 2021 will be referred to as the month our final UK lockdown began to ease. England celebrated by eating outside in the freezing cold, albeit sunny weather and apparently we all visited the hair dressers. I went from my longest tresses ever to a healthy blonder blunt cut bob and I love it!

The Cats Will Remember April 2021 for a different reason.
The two kittens we adopted last year, have grown into adorable sleek and handsome creatures. However we are responsible pet owners and it was ‘that’ time to take them both to the vets for a simple operation to prevent them both straying and/or becoming Daddy cats! They both took it well and very much like small children were up and running around very quickly. I think it hurt me more than them, I was so stressed about getting them safely to the vets, I ended up checking them in at reception to discover I still had my slippers on!

First Outing:
If you read my last style post you will know that out first outing was a visit to the Pig Hotel at Studland. For a chilly but joyous Sunday Roast lunch outside . . .

Creativity April 2021 Sewing;
Of course there was crochet but even more exciting for me, I finally sorted out my sewing room and got to grips with my sewing machine again. I sewed a Hallon dress designed by Paradise Patterns. My toile (trial) version was made from a patchwork hotchpotch of fabric scraps. In this way I didn’t waste my decent fabric and now I know how the fit is on me I can make adjustments for the next make.

April Crochet; A Self Designed Bag & A Completed cardi:
I crochet many things this month, but these are the two completed projects I am most proud of. My Mountain top Cardi by Two of Wands and a textured bobble crochet bag with bamboo handles designed by me! Pattern coming soon.

What will May bring?
I do hope you managed to have a happy month, I wonder what May 2021 will bring to us all? Our worlds are just about to open up again. Its all very exciting and a little bit scary, dont you think ?
