Supplements 5 Favourites I Take Everyday
Supplements have always been a part of my beauty and self care routine. It started when I became anemic at a young age, my mum had to change my diet to make sure I was getting enough iron. To me this meant having to eat liver and taking an iron tonic. Today it means trying to eat as healthily as possible and taking supplements to enhance my dietary needs, I still need an iron top up from time to time. Do you remember when we use to call them ‘Vitamins’ ? These are the 5 supplements I am taking on a daily basis this month.

The Five Supplements I am taking this Month.
I want to emphasise that I take supplements not to replace a healthy diet but to enhance it. I do not take supplements all the time and some months take nothing at all. Winter has been hard on us all this year for obvious reasons. The lack of sunlight, or indeed any natural light at all during the deep midwinter months, depletes us of vitamin D. This then is the first supplement I reach for in January.
… I take food supplements not to replace a healthy diet but to enhance it. I do not take supplements all the time.
Beauty Pie
1. Like Sun Bio optimized Vitamin D3 & K2 Softgels.
Beauty pie have started selling supplements and as a fan and regular consumer of the brand, I immediately purchased 3 of them! For both women and men, these ‘optimal nutrients’ are bio-engineered by expert hormonal nutritionist, Kay Ali. Each is made without fillers, GMOs, artificial colours
or preservatives.
For obvious reason during Lockdown 3 I decided I needed extra vitamin D. Vitamin D is a hormone, essential for balancing blood calcium levels and optimizing our immune, cardiovascular and musculoskeletal systems The beauty pie Vitamin D, ‘like sun in a jar’ contains 90 capsules and I take one per day with food. Cruelty free and Vegan. Sunshine without the skin damage!
By the way, don’t believe anyone who tells you they feel better after 2 weeks of taking a supplement. You will need at least 4 weeks of taking them daily to notice a difference, even longer for hair and nails!

I bought this one a coupe of months ago so I am able to report on its effectiveness. My skin has an inner cleanliness, I guess you could call it an inner glow if that doesn’t sound too smug?

I do also put the ‘glow down to my new AGE DEFY+ COLLAGEN BOOST VITAMIN C SERUM 30ML* it has definitely helped to put some radiance back into my tired lockdown sallow looking skin. This one was gifted but I will be buying the next one. I use it after cleansing morning and night, during the day I then use my regular moisturiser and top it off with an spf 50.
At night I use my regular night cream the lovely and oh so soothing Hydra Glow sleep mask. Even the smell of it brings calming vibes to my mind and at £34 this big jar lasts for ages! I highly recommend this luscious night cream. I wrote about it last year
One more pic for you . . .
