Into The Woods Wearing Honey Bee by Claudia Bradby
As a full time, blogger with over 8 years’ experience of collaborating with brands and PR companies. I am happy to report that most are a pleasure to work with, some are fun to work with and then there are the exceptional few that are a pure joy to work with. If a brand’s ethics match my blog principals, if sustainability and giving back are high on the brands objectives then occasionally a collaboration can be a match made in heaven. Claudia Bradby and the beautiful jewellry she designs are one of the latter brands! Allow me to introduce you to Honey Bee the latest collection designed by Claudia Bradby.

Honey Bee A New Collection From Claudia Bradby Jewellry
I love to wear nature inspired jewellry, last year I had a mini obsession with shells, cowrie shells in particular. However I must admit that wearing insects around my neck and wrists is another matter! Apart from and I am sure you will agree with me, our native bee aka the delightful Honey Bee.
Harbinger of all that summer has to offer. Lazy days and warm summer evenings spent in the garden, alfresco dining and family picnics. Can you even imagine summer without the buzzing of the bees? I am sure you are all aware by now, that our native honey bees are facing many threats to their survival and need all the help they can get.

Why Ancient Coins for the Honey Bee Design?
The coins were inspired by the bee symbol used in early Greek coinage. Ephesus, an ancient Greek city. now located near the western shores of modern-day Turkey, used the bee as a civic emblem in recognition of their value.
Claudia suggests that the bee could be used as a symbol for today, signifying that we are #strongertogether hence the linked circular symbols on the coins.

Bees have four wings, not two – they actually hook them together to form one big pair when flying and then unhook them when not flying!

Jewellery That gives Back.
You may associate Claudia with jewellry and pearls, but did you know she is also a passionate bee keeper? This new collection was inspired by her love of bee keeping and a desire to celebrate out native bees. Each piece is handcrafted from recycled silver, the gold pieces are then plated with 18k gold. Claudia hopes to have completely moved to 100% use of recycled silver by the end of 2021!
Every single sale supports the conservation of the native UK honey bee. Claudia Bradby Jewellry donates 1% of their annual turnover to The B4 Project via 1% For The Planet. You can read more about their sustainability pledge here.
