September 2020 In a Nutshell, Adapting Again!
September, that month at the end of summer and the beginning of autumn. An in between month, For me September is usually a month of preparation for the last quarter of the year. September in 2020 was the quietest one I have ever experienced over the last 19 years. Life changes but Nature marches on. The corn fields are full of stubble and fading sunlight, the leaves on the trees have turned a glorious shade of Umber and our kitchen is full of harvest treasures . . .

September 2020 Family & Kittens
Our family evolved as every family should and I adapted to yet more changes. The boy packed his bags and left home for university and at his suggestion we adopted kittens “to keep Mum company when I am at Uni” Bless his heart, and they certainly do. They fill my day with fun, ‘assist’ with my crochet projects and generally create mayhem wherever they are allowed to roam. The dogs have taken to the new lodgers very well, allowing the kittens to snuggle up with them on the sofa. You see, more adapting!

September Crochet and Sewing Projects
Crochet: I hooked up fingerless gloves, a scarf, some cotton dishcloths and added to some ongoing larger projects. My latest crochet project is the ‘Seedlings’ Jumper by little golden Nook.
Sewing; I have plans to make sweatshirts and some long sleeved t-shirts, like the Sew House Seven Tops below and I love love this one by The Maker’s Atelier.

September 2020 House Renovations
The hallway and downstairs toilet are almost finished. The downstairs toilet walls need a lick of fresh white paint, new window blinds and some bits and pieces to pull it all together. I’d say it is 85% complete, so what can I find for Marc to do next? I have a few ideas but I won’t mention them to him just yet!
