Why A Shacket Is Perfect for Autumn
First came the Coatigan, a lightweight hybrid of a coat and a cardigan. This year its the Shacket a heavy weight over-sized shirt that you can wear as a jacket. Now I dont easily jump onto bandwagons, but this one makes so much sense. Have you ever tried driving in a full length coat? Cold one minute, hot the next and not easy to remove once you are on the move . . .

On Wearing A Shacket
I bought this grey, 63% recycled wool shacket in the January sales from the Conscious range at H & M. It has since been restocked at full price. Mine is a beautiful quality, with superb details, fully lined plus 2 patch pockets with clever hidden side pockets.
It is perfect for throwing on to walk the dogs and it is easy to wear when driving the car on a frost mornings. The pockets are large enough for my phone a mask, a small purse and my folded string shopping bag! Talk about the perfect garment.

The Shacket Fabric is made from 63% Recycled Wool
The fabric was woven in Italy, especially for H&M by Manteco a company who have made fabrics in Italy since 1943.

I have found some Shackets you might like too . . .

Good News! My own grey wool Shacket has been restocked:

A Personal Note: My son took these images he has now started university, Having empty nest syndrome has been hard, I miss him so much, but I’m slowly coming to terms with it. We Mums go through a lot in 18 years don’t we?
