Yes, you read that right. I have 5 big crochet projects on the go and a few small experiments laying around. My side of the sofa is covered in yarn, paper patterns and half-finished motifs. The coffee table always has scissors, tapestry needles and yarn ends on the area by me. Let’s not mention the floor, oh those ends…
What can I say? I am a passionate crocheter, an experienced hooker and I adore balls of yarn. I know I am not alone, my Instagram likes tell me you enjoy my new crochet projects posts. In return I get to trade colour palette ideas and inspiration with you too.
5 crochet projects on the go:
Travelling Crochet Afghan
I have 3 colours of this project and am getting behind because I did not like a couple of the designs. Therefore I intend to undo a few squares and swap them for simpler patterns. I know lots of you are joining in with this lovely idea hosted by the Two Of Wands. All information can be found on her blog if you want to take part. It is a very simple crochet along, you make 2 squares a month to add to your blanket.

Hook Size: 6 mm for the chunky yarn and 5 mm for the aran weight.
Yarn: assorted arran and chunky I like the stylecraft balls of 400g acrylic for this as it works out much cheaper.
*Casa Kahlo Blanket
*This is a project that has been sponsored by Love Crafts, who gifted me the yarn from Paint Box yarns.
A big experiment for me, some of the original colours were out of stock so I completely changed the original colour palette for my own. This meant also substituting the yarn amounts required. Which is a bit of a headache, and I think I may have made a few errors!
This is where I am at right now, but after a review of my colour I am going to undo a few rows and substitute the candyfloss pink for beige.

Rain Fall Cardigan.
This is my favourite project of the year so far! A beautiful pattern, professionally written and it’s easy to follow with accurate measurements!
I can’t wait to wear it and share the reveal with you, but I have run out of yarn and Paint Box Yarns don’t have any on their site right now. So frustrating!

A blanket with no name!
I started this last Autumn, intending for it to be ready for the winter months. The stitch combo was inspired by a Pinterest post. I can no longer remember the stitch and again have run out of yarn. The blanket looks interesting and as I think you will agree, needs some TLC. A project I need to finish or frog?
Dog Blanket from scrap yarn.
The Dogs both like to sit on the back of the sofa. So, I have a couple of crocheted blankets on rotation, to protect the fabric. This is my latest one. I keep adding rounds when I feel like it! Im going to call this one ‘Ongoing CB’ (crochet Blanket)
Pattern: by me, rows of trebles, alternating with rows of chain and double crochet.
Hook size: 4 mm
Yarn: All Stylecraft DK, from my scrap basket!
So there you have it, 5 projects that need attention. Five crochet projects on the go at one time, how about you how many do you normally have on the go or are you a ‘finish one before you start another’ crocheter? i take my hat off to you if you are!
