A 3 minute Everyday Makeup look For Staying Home

During your mid to late fifties, your skin reacts differently to makeup. So that foundation you have been wearing for the last few years may no longer be your best friend! It is a very personal I realise that, depending on skin type etc. Now we are all staying home, I have had a chance to declutter my make up bag and sorted out a simple everyday makeup routine that I wanted to share with you..

Everyday Makeup – less is more.

Do you wear makeup everyday? I do not, and I firmly believe in the ‘less is more approach’ even when I do! It is so good to let your skin breathe and take a rest from all the chemicals. I often see women my age with their faces covered in foundation wearing makeup like a mask is never attractive and dare I say it?…  can be very ageing.

I even made a little video on igtv and popped it on my instagram grid too, talk about being out of my comfort zone!

Some great tips, I only wear foundation to hide my darn age spots but my skin is lovely the break during lock-down!

I agree about makeup needing to change as we get older. Foundations are the hardest to find, they either sit in the creases and wrinkles and look too caked or they don’t cover the impurities of my old gal skin enough. Mixing a light foundation with Trinny is the best move I ever made xx

This was perfect for me. A fantastic first video Daisy! I was also forced out of my comfort zone and had to do my first video job interview. Cringe. I wore my regular foundation, but when I saw myself on Skype I noticed it looked too thick and I looked old. We mid-life gals are needing to rework things! Thanks for this video. You’re a natural in front of the camera. … Back to my knitting now. (I’m determined to finish a poncho I started 10 years ago!)

      Hi Liz,

What a lovely comment, you are very kind!
I hope you got the job?
Good luck finishing the poncho, I have 3-4 works in progress at the moment…
