6 New Movies I Want To See In 2020
Our local cinema is a small complex, with a bar and a coffee shop attached. It is my favourite place to see new movies and if a movie that we want to see is not showing there, then we will wait for it to come out on Netflix or similar. I am nothing if not loyal to my local Odeon…
On boxing day last year I saw Little Women (btw, so pleased it won the Oscar for best costume design!)
I thought it would be nice to make an effort to visit the cinema at least once a month in 2020…
Sharing a list of 6 ‘want to see at the cinema’ movies
One in particular I cannot wait to see this year!
New movies we want to see that are out already:
1917: directed, co-written and produced by Sam Mendes.
“During World War I, two British soldiers, Lance Cpl. Schofield and Lance Cpl. Blake receive seemingly impossible orders. In a race against time, they must cross over into enemy territory to deliver a message that could potentially save 1,600 of their fellow comrades — including Blake’s own brother”

New movies I want to see in 2020 inc The Gentlemen.
The Gentlemen: Directed by Guy Ritchie. Action Comedy
Two extra reasons for watching this one: Matthew Mcconaughey and Charlie Hunnam!
“Mickey Pearson is an American expatriate who became rich by building a highly profitable marijuana empire in London. When word gets out that he’s looking to cash out of the business, it soon triggers an array of plots and schemes — including bribery and blackmail — from shady characters who want to steal his domain”
The Rhythm Section: Directed by Reed Morano
BTW: Reed Morano directed first few episodes of the Handmaid’s tale.
“Stephanie Patrick veers down a path of self-destruction after a tragic plane crash kills her family. When Stephanie discovers it wasn’t an accident, she turns to a former CIA operative who can help her find the culprits. But her quest to uncover the truth soon turns into a full-blown quest for revenge as Patrick decides to punish those responsible”
New Movies coming soon in 2020!
Top Gun 2
“After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete Mitchell is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him”
The action takes place 34 years after the original movie. Most of the original characters are back except Kelly Mcgillis, who gave up acting to raise her family.
Top Gun 2 is expected to be released in Summer 2020, I cannot wait to see this. I loved Top Gun back in the day and will admit to it being my favourite movie ever. This could be explained by the fact I was dating an RAF pilot at the time and we first saw it together?
James Bond No Time To Die: April 2020
“Recruited to rescue a kidnapped scientist, globe-trotting spy James Bond finds himself hot on the trail of a mysterious villain, who’s armed with a dangerous new technology”
We all love a good Bond movie and this is (reportedly) Daniel Craig’s last, so definitely worth a goodbye visit to the cinema.
Legally Blonde Three, is coming soon, no date as yet!
“Spin-off family comedy revolving around the two younger cousins of `Legally Blonde’ heroine, Elle Woods. The duo move from England to California where they upset the dominant social set of their exclusive prep school with their fashion tastes.”
