If you like glitter and sparkly party nail art, you have come to the wrong blog! I do not wear glitter and I am not a fan of ‘Nail Art’ or built up nails. Been there, seen it, done it! I used to have the occasional Gel Mani, but lets face it, no matter how much care you take, it will eventually damages your nails and it costs a fortune in upkeep! My solution as always is to keep it simple. I try to keep my nails short and healthy and choose a new nail varnish each season!
If you like glitter and party nail art, you have come to the wrong blog!
You may be thinking, my dislike of glitter etc is an age thing? I would disagree, if I wanted to wear glitter on my nails then I would, even if I was 80! The fact is, I have never been a fan of glitter or sequins. When I think about it, I have loved and worn green, yellow and many shades of blue and will continue to do so. However right now I am in love with all the brown and chestnut shades…
Two New Nail Care Products from Leighton Denny
(* Gifted)
Leighton Denny is a brand I have long admired. They formulate their colours without any of the usual nasties ie: formaldehyde, Resin, Camphor, DBP etc. Established for over 20 years, Leighton Denny was awarded an MBE in 2015.
Before I share my favourite winter nail varnish colours, let me introduce you to two excellent nail care products by Leighton Denny. The first is a cuticle oil, something I use everyday during the winter months, central heating and cold weather wreak havoc with my hands!
*Slick Tips:
A hydrating cuticle oil, that I use once a day, usually before bed. It contains Jo Joba oil to moisturise and smooth dry cuticles. At just £12 its going to last me for at least 3 months and my cuticles have stopped looking dry and flaky after just one week of use…
*In the Gloss:
A plumping top coat which gives a super high gloss, gel-like finish to create long lasting, resistant nails. I find this top coat very flexible, unlike other ‘glossy’ top coats it does not make your nails feel brittle.
