Can it really be almost 2 years ago that I wrote my first Trinny London makeup review? In January 2018 I had dinner with Trinny and her team, plus 7 other bloggers. A few weeks previous to this Trinny had launched her new makeup collection. You can read my first review here. Quite a few new products have been launched since then. Are they worth the hype? Has my opinion changed, is the brand still worth investing in? Read on to see what I thought of Trinny London’s Miracle Blur and the BFF cream Eye serum and concealer.
How did it all start? Trinny explains :
“…I would mix a stick foundation with a liquid, blend a lip tint with a gloss… I mushed up colours and decanted them into little pots. And then I thought, “there has to be a better way”. The big idea was born: a portable, versatile range of makeup, with colours to suit every woman”
Trinny London products are cruelty free
This is my 3rd makeup review for Trinny London and I’m happy to report, I still love every product I own. I have even introduced all my friends and family to the collection. Especially to the ‘all singing all dancing’ BFF skin perfector cream When I wear it everyone remarks on how lovely my skin looks.
Plus the stacking system is brilliant, whether travelling or at home. Makeup that comes with its own storage system, it does not get better than that, right?
I have been gifted various Trinny Products including, 2 BFF creams. I have also bought one! thats how good it really is (I actually spent my own money on it and will do so again) See my disclosure policy for more details.
Whenever I wear BFF cream everyone remarks on how lovely my skin looks!
A quick recap on why I love BFF cream for my face…
These days I only ever wear Trinny’s BFF cream on my face, I no longer wear foundation, shock horror! Foundation completely covers my skin up, and at my age less is definitely more. I prefer to enhance what I have, not try and recreate my youth.
Less is definitely more when it comes to makeup in your 50’s!
I have found that by sticking to the ‘less is more’ way of thinking, I actually do look younger because I’m not trying so hard, does that make sense?
When you are happy in your own skin, everything else falls into place.. The cream comes out looking a pale ivory colour and then blends to your skin tones.
In summer I wear medium and in winter I wear light. There is a new light-medium shade too, but be warned it sells out fast!
…at my age less is definitely more. I prefer to enhance what I have left, not try and recreate my youth!
- It illuminates my skin by adapting to my own skin tone.
- Tones down redness and makes the shadows around my eyes almost dissapear.
- Contains an SPF30 for protection against UV and pollution.
- Smells gorgeous.
- You get a free empty pot with it! So handy.
My Review of the new Trinny London Miracle Blur:
This little pot of wonder contains a lightweight smoothing primer for your lips and lines. I cannot claim that Miracle Blur can perform a miracle, but it really, really works! I am not a smoker, but I do have fine lines on my top lip and about 4 of those lines are more noticeable than the others! I patted on some of this cream and the lines were definitely less visible. The best thing was when wearing lipstick, it did not ‘bleed’ into my lip lines.
Miracle Blur contains:
Collagen and elastin, to improve the appearance of fine lines Contains Vitamin E and C to help maintain the skin’s hydration barrier and will be on my desert island makeup list from now on!
Miracle Blur is not sticky or waxy, it is light and absorbs quickly and easily. I will not wear it every day, but even on a bare face day a bit of this and some lip balm makes my lips looks naturally smoother. I love it!
The Miracle Blur effect Before & after!
I am baring all to bring you a rare B & A that is how much I love this product…
When you are really happy in your own skin, everything else falls into place…
My thoughts on the Trinny London BFF Eye serum & concealer
So does BFF eye serum and concealer live up to the hype? Absolutely and not only does it cover my dark shadows, it helps to soothe and restore my tired old eyes too. I love a product that not only does it job but goes further and actually does you a service too. Easy to apply with your fingers, I love a non fussy product. The only problem I have with it is I find it quite runny, so dont wear white when applying it like I did!
I quote: “Vitamin C brightens and our Duo Peptide Complex helps replenish the skins surface and assists in minimising the appearance of dark circles. “
Already added to my stack of Trinny essentials that go everywhere with me.
