Trinny London Miracle Blur BFF Cream & Eye Concealer Makeup Review
A long time ago, I wrote my first Trinny London makeup review. A few weeks previous to this, Trinny had launched her new makeup collection, and I had been invited to have dinner with Trinny and her team. You can read my first review here. Many new products have been launched since then. Are they worth the hype? Has my opinion changed? Is the brand still worth investing in? Read on to see what I think of Trinny London Miracle Blur Bff Cream, the Eye Concealer and the Bff Rebalance Serum.
Lets Start with A Review of The Trinny London Miracle Blur
This little pot of wonder contains a lightweight smoothing primer for your lips and lines. I cannot claim that Miracle Blur can perform a miracle, but it does work!
I am not a smoker but, I do have fine lines on my top lip and about 4 of those lines are more noticeable than the others! After patting on a small amount the lines were definitely less visible. The best thing was that when wearing lipstick, it did not ‘bleed’ into my lip lines like it usually does!
Miracle Blur contains:
Collagen and elastin, to improve the appearance of fine lines. It also contains Vitamin E and C to help maintain the skin’s hydration barrier. i predict it will be in my makeup bag for years
The Miracle Blur effect Before & after!
A rare close up of my face to show you how it worked on me, No miracles just a simple blurring of the lines… For the record I am 56. ( Edit I am now 58 and I still use it, especially with red toned lip colours.)
A Recap On Why I Only Use Trinny London BFF
These days I only ever wear Trinny’s BFF cream on my face. I no longer wear foundation – shock horror!
Why? because foundation completely covers my skin up, and at my age less is definitely more. I prefer to enhance what I have, and not try and recreate my youth. In my opinion when you try to look younger, you will always end up looking older
In summer I wear medium and in winter I wear light. There is a new light-medium shade too, but be warned it sells out fast! The light comes out looking a pale ivory colour and then blends into your skin tones.
Trinny London BFF Cream The Details
- It illuminates my skin by adapting to my own skin tone.
- Tones down redness and makes the shadows around my eyes almost dissapear.
- Contains an SPF30 for protection against UV and pollution.
- Smells gorgeous.
- You get a free empty pot with it! So handy for decanting a few drops for travel.
A Review on the Trinny London BFF cream Eye serum & concealer
So does BFF eye serum and concealer live up to the hype? Absolutely and not only does it cover my dark shadows, it helps to soothe and restore my tired old eyes too. I love a product that not only does it job but goes further and actually does you a service too. Easy to apply with your fingers, I love a non fussy product.
The only problem I have with it is I find it quite runny, so dont wear white when applying it like I did!
Note the colour looks darker in the pot but settles into my own skin colour when patted in! Already added to my stack of Trinny essentials that go everywhere with me.
Trinny London products are cruelty free
This is my 3rd makeup review for Trinny London and I’m happy to report, I still love every product I own. I have even introduced all my friends and family to the collection. Especially to the ‘all singing all dancing’ BFF skin perfector cream When I wear it everyone remarks on howhealthy and glowing my skin looks.
Plus the stacking system is brilliant, whether travelling or at home. Makeup that comes with its own storage system, Surely it does not get better than that?
So How did Trinny London Begin?
Trinny says :
“…I would mix a stick foundation with a liquid, blend a lip tint with a gloss… I mushed up colours and decanted them into little pots. And then I thought, there has to be a better way. The big idea was born: a portable, versatile range of makeup, with colours to suit every woman”
I have found that by sticking to the ‘less is more’ way of thinking, I actually do look younger because I’m not trying too hard, does that make sense?
I believe less is definitely more when it comes to makeup in your 50’s!
When you are happy in your own skin, everything else falls into place..
Full Disclosure: I have been gifted various Trinny Products over the years. BUT. I have also purchased a lot too. I put my money where my mouth is!
