Re Living A Mid 90s Trend Jeans Under Dresses
Do you remember jeans under dresses perhaps you even wore this trend? In 1996 I specifically remember my best friend wearing jeans under her Ghost slip dress, she looked fabulous. I adopted the style soon after and never looked back. Slip dresses faded from the scene along with wearing jeans under and it was no longer the mid 90’s. Trend alert! I have seen so many stylish older women, re wearing the trend, I thought I’d give it another go myself…

Jeans Under Dresses
Proud to say the jeans and dress I am wearing were already in my wardrobe and the bag is vintage. Continuing on with my mission to buy less and succeeding even with the sales being on! I did buy something in the Arket and Cos sale, more on them later. In this post its all about those Taryn Sandals from Lotus Shoes…

Past Season Laura Ashley linen Dress
Lotus Taryn Sandals
The Details:
- Black faux leather upper
- Diamante detailing
- Velcro fastening strap
- 4cm wedge heel
“…An open toe black sandal is crafted from faux leather and features fashionable details in the form of a slight 4cm wedge heel and decorative diamante detailing. Also adds comfort by incorporating a leather in-sock and an adjustable Velcro ankle fastening…”
They also come in a Pink and a white.
My Verdict on Wearing the Taryn sandals:
I chose a neutral Black, because it will fit in with all my wardrobe, but not look like a ‘holiday sandal’ when I am wearing it at Tesco’s shopping. The sandal has a Velcro fastening at the heel, which makes it along with the leather lining, extremely comfortable. I am a size 5 and the Taryn fits true to size. I know I will wear and wear this one everywhere if summer actually turns up!

Drinking in a rare appearance of the sun!
Not Saving Clothes for Best!
The other ‘thing’ I am embracing this year is not saving my clothes for ‘Best’ I’m wearing my whole wardrobe and savouring every moment. You should try it too, it makes me happy. Now I’m just wondering if I should buy a pair of these Sandals in white? I’m sticking with all the neutrals this season…
If you were wondering
..where I was striding to, then wonder no more, I was off to find my Sunday roast at the pub!
