At the beginning of the year I was sent Emma Varnam’s superb Book Crocheted Succulents to review. It was perfect timing because during the winter months I hibernate on the sofa, beside our roaring log fire and crochet!
Crocheted Succulents by Emma Varnam.
A wonderful book suitable for all levels of crocheters. From beginners to crochet Queens, there are 25 projects so one to suit everyone. An added bonus, if you are not green fingered, is that these little Cacti require no care at all and won’t die from neglect!
Rest assured I only recommend crochet books I find inspiring and easy to use!
My first project from the Book:
I chose to make the string of pearls cacti. In real life I own a string of hearts plant and I have to say from a distance the crochet version looks very real. If you follow me on instagram you may have seen the stories I published of me showing off my latest make?
Then I made the… which I have to say is my favourite! It is so quick to make I made two in one evening whilst watching the television.
A group of three on the mantel:
I ended up making 4 little cacti, they are so cute and slightly addictive? Obviously this book is a big hit in our house and I can highly recommend it too you too!
There are 25 splendid succulents to make in a variety of shapes and sizes for a touch of indoor greenery that will never need watering, re potting or special plant food.
