Crochet Succulents The Easiest Plants to Care For

At the beginning of the year, I was sent Emma Varnam’s superb new book to review. It was perfect timing because during the winter months I hibernate on the sofa, beside our roaring log fire and crochet. As an added bonus these little crochet succulents make perfect gifts for every age group and are very quick to make.

Crocheted Succulents by Emma Varnam.

A wonderful book suitable for all levels of crocheters. From beginners to crochet Queens. There are 25 projects so one to suit everyone. An added bonus, if you are not green fingered, is that these little crochet succulents require no care at all and won’t die from neglect unlike most of the succulents in my house I think I overwater them!

My first project from the Book:

I chose to make the string of pearls cacti first. In real life I own a string of hearts plant and I have to say from a distance the crochet version looks very real. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen the stories I published of me showing off my latest make?

Then I made the Potatorum which I have to say is my favourite! In fact, it is so quick to make I made two in one evening, whilst watching the television.

I ended up making 4 little cacti, they are so cute and slightly addictive. Obviously, this book is a big hit in our house, and I can highly recommend it too you too!
