Change is good for everyone, although I know not everyone will feel the same way about it that I do. I relish a refresh and adore a quick revamp. I am not fussy, it could be new makeup on my face, prancing around in a new trend re decorating our house, I LOVE CHANGE! I’m even using capitals to shout about it! My latest revamp takes place in a murky unloved corner of my kitchen. A mini kitchen refresh has been long over due…

A quick kitchen refresh with B & A shots
B & A = before and after.
The full story of how our kitchen has evolved over the years can be found in this post. Therefore, I wont go into too much detail, for fear of boring you. Quite honestly I can talk for hours on how to make something out of nothing and if you take a look at the post later you will see how we achieved it in the kitchen almost 9 years ago.

Before:
Focusing on the worktop area, it looks fine I know, but those storage tins are battered and faded, the kitchen roll holder is my yarn holder and I want it back!

Lets take a closer look, see how tired they look?

After:
Fresher, cleaner, minimal more contemporary and well, what more can I say? Revamped! The whole area has a new vibe just by adding four inexpensive new items. I now think we need a new kettle, but dont tell Marc, we have just had to buy a new washing machine!

Hurn and Hurn (Gifted)
Hurn and Hurn are a treasure trove of delightful ‘must have’ items for your home. Perfect for gifts too, (don’t forget mother’s day is at the end of March!) Apart from their own brand they also sell many other covetable contemporary brands such as Bluebellgray.

To refresh this kitchen corner area I chose:

**Three white Marble effect porcelain storage jars from Bloomingville. Perfect for breakfast teabags, herbal tea bags and of course coffee.
*Wooden Kitchen Roll Holder: Form, function and simplicity at its best.
