Like a lot of people I dont make new year resolutions. I do however, make goals and lists of ‘would like to achieve’ who doesn’t love a ‘to do’ list? After all nothing can be achieved without making plans. I dont like looking back and I dont do regrets, life is what it is and you can’t change the past. I still love blogging and no matter what anyone says about the future of these online spaces, I will continue to blog for as long as it makes me happy. I am looking forward to 2019, as a family we are ready for whatever it may bring. I hope you are too?

A glance back at 2018 my blogging highs:
Blogging wise, nothing major happened in 2018; my blog continued to grow and I was overjoyed to welcome new readers. I was however, very proud to be nominated and shortlisted for two big awards in 2018:
- For a ‘Best interiors Craft blog’ from the Amara Interior Blog awards
- For an ‘Amazing Women 50 over 50’ award, nominated as one of Woman and Home Magazines top 5 social Influencers
Below you can see us wearing our glad rags at the brilliant Amara Interior Blog awards…I think he scrubs up rather well don’t you?
Have to admit I didn’t win any of the above but I was very proud to be shortlisted, it was a superb feeling to know that people actually read and enjoy my blog.
…and a low
Seeing a few people on instagram who have cheated to gain followers being rewarded with brand campaigns, whilst other people I know who are genuinely brilliant at blogging being over looked. That was a low point for me in 2018 and I hope brands get their acts together in 2019 to help stamp out the cheating.
Looking Forward to January and the rest of 2019…
I am aiming for more of the same in 2019, to enjoy writing and photography, to hopefully work with more lovely brands, to get out and about, meet new friends and basically challenge myself to step out of my comfort zone.
I’d love to share more of my beautiful Dorset with you and continue my ‘Wearing Vintage’ style series. I have lots of plans so please do sign up to my mailing list at the bottom of the page if you want to keep up with me?
Thank you once again for your support and for reading Lazy Daisy Jones in 2018
Wishing you and yours a Joyful 2019!
