There is definitely something amusing about seeing ‘old gals’ dressed the same. However in the interest of writing a fun blog post and to illustrate that two people can wear the same garments but still keep their individuality. Laurie and I decided to dress the same ‘but differently’ aka we decided to try twinning. Take a look and please have a giggle at our expense because we had lots of fun and laughter photographing this for you. Don’t mention the rain…we ignored it!

Seeing Double in JD Williams Jacket and Jeans:
Laurie and I turned 55 this year. A milestone we think? At 55 we are old enough not to take this fashion malarky seriously, we both like to have fun with our clothes and chuck out all the rules…hence the twinning .
Laurie and I have planned on doing a post like this for over a year. As usual life gets in the way, add in the fact that Laurie lives in London and I am in Dorset and a simple plan can get complicated. Finally we arrange a weekend for Laurie and her other half to visit us country folk and what happens? I am sure you can guess, it rained all weekend!

Did we let the weather affect our plans, we most certainly did not. We sent our better halves off to play pool, then settled down to talk about blogging, camera lenses, outfit plans and a whole host of instagram ideas…
The Twinning Details, My Version:
My favourite jeans from JD Williams, not skinny by any means (I dont wear skinnies anymore) but slim enough to be flattering for everyone and at £20 they are a bargain! Great quality with a nice stretch and so comfy. I can genuinely recommend these jeans to you. If you fancy a different look and depending on your footwear you can roll them up as we have done. Available in sizes 10-32 in regular or long length.
I am wearing the same jacket as Laurie but she has the teal blue and as you can see I have the hot pink. I think it looks much better on Laurie, due to the length do you see how hers finishes much lower than mine, due to our differing heights? Being taller I really look better in a longer jacket. However, the longer length would swamp Laurie as she is petite.
Why not wear with a simple white t-shirt or a pretty blouse? Your options are limitless. I am wearing an old Zara T-shirt with Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia on the front, because I loved her.
A very cute bag. It doesn’t look out of place in the daytime either. You can tuck the chain handle inside. A snap shut fastener and inside there is a tiny pocket. I like an interior pocket for my cash card or train tickets.
Very pretty and very useful, perfect height kitten heel. Remember gold is a neutral and goes with anything and everything…
Available in sizes 4-9 available in a wide fit and also comes in black…

Future Twinning Plans are afoot…
I can’t tell you what fun it was to act younger than we should. We plan to do it all again next month, time weather and outfit fittings permitting…Now Pop over to Laurie’s Blog and she will give you all the info on her outfit and some different views of our day…
