Can I wear my new Boots & Autumn Knitwear now?

Autumn has arrived in the UK. Oh yes, as of 23rd of September, it’s finally official. So does this mean I can wear my new Autumn knitwear and boots now? The answer to that is a simple no! Can you believe it is actually far too hot to wear Knitwear and boots. The mornings are chilly and misty and the afternoons are full of blazing sunshine. I end up changing at least twice a day at the moment.

An Autumn Knitwear Declutter.

I am also having a complete declutter of my old knitwear. For example, those old jumpers you hang onto just to ‘wear at home’ but then wear them to run errands and bump into your immaculately dressed neighbour!

The ones that have ‘pilled’ beyond recognition, have stretched, shrunk or are stained. These I wash, cut up and use as dusters or cleaning cloths. The others I donate to charity. In my mind this then leaves a ‘vacuum gap’ in my wardrobe one I can fill with new knits.  However there will be less buying this year, due to my buy less, buy better mission!

A Blogger’s Privilege?

I am lucky (and I do realise how lucky I am) to often receive gifted products from wonderful clothing and beauty brands. As a blogger I consider this a huge privileged and will never take it for granted. Sometimes whilst writing a blog post I feel like I have to apologise for receiving gifted products. I wonder why this is?

How it works:

I am usually sent a pre-season ‘Look book’ and asked to choose some items or garments that I like. Later on in the year the postman delivers them. At this point it really does feel like Christmas, because by then I have usually forgotten what I actually ordered! There is never any pressure to post a blog review with gifted items and if I didn’t like the quality or fit then I wouldn’t, I would rather send them back.

Autumn Boots

Of course like anything new I have and love, I just want to wear it straight away…

Last weekend we managed a short walk through the country lanes and due to it being slightly nippy I was able to wear my new autumn knitwear with my new boots and jeans…

The Details:

The knit is oversized (very trendy) cosy and warm, the jeans have a nice stretch and the boots by lotus are so comfy…they have a side zip so you dont have to lace them up!

  • Lotus Relife Tapper Calf length boot

  • Tan faux leather upper
  • Lace-up boot with zip fastening
  • Featuring a premium leather lining and a leather memory foam in-sock
  • Almost flat boot
