Handmade things are very special, they are unique. Today I have two handmade projects for you. I’ve been macrameing again, a bigger project for the shed. My fingers ached but I heroically knotted through the pain. Therefore, let me present to you, my latest macramé plant hanger taaa daaaaa……!
Macramé Plant Hanger
I am quite proud of this one. I made it up as I went along, a basic knowledge of Macramé is all you need. A simple pattern is best and usually the most effective. I am not sure whether to plant this one or leave it as a tealight holder? For now it is hanging in the garden holding 4 tealights, it gives off a wonderful glow in the evening dusk.
Do you remember the recent macramé plant hanger I made? (you can see it behind the latest one in the image below) That one was knotted using the knot and this bigger one was made using only the knot…

It started like this…
…and ended like this:
The Handmade Heart Bracket
Handmade item number two; this macramé plant hanger is special so special it even has its own bespoke bracket, complete with heart decoration. I am sure you can guess who made it for me?
Yes it was Marc ! He appeared with his trusty tape measure, asked ‘how high?’ Disappeared for an hour and returned with this delightful piece of shed hardware! Of course I was delighted, there is nothing more special than a handmade gift from a loved one is there?
Handmade + Handmade = Unique ♥
I recently bought, and I can highly recommend this new book, Macramé for beginners and Beyond by Amy Mullins and Marnia Ryan-Raison.
Now we have decorated the front of the shed we are moving on into the interior…first a BIG sort out and then some shelves and organisation… !

Macramé Plant Hanger #2 Diy Garden Project
Marc needs to finish the roof of the shed and then I am going to make some macrame bunting too, so what do you think so far? Do let me know in the comments below…
