Wearing Van Gogh To See Frida Kahlo
Every now and then Marc and I treat ourselves to a weekend in London. We like to see an exhibition or a play and generally behave like tourists in our own capital city! It’s so much fun and I can highly recommend it. This weekend we visited the Frida Kahlo ‘ Making Herself Up’ exhibition at the V & A something else I can highly recommend…

Frida kahlo Exhibition
When Frida died in 1954 her husband Diego Rivera locked her things away in her bathroom and sealed them up. They were discovered in 2004, catalogued and photographed and put on show. This is the first time the exhibits have left Mexico.
We see her clothes and make-up, her wooden leg and her medical corsets, both of which she had decorated with paint. Frida was injured in a Tram crash when she was very young, as a result she was in constant pain for the rest of her life. Alongside these intimate possessions we see her paintings and photographs.
I found it awe inspiring and very moving, you feel her presence all around you, what a woman!
Wearing Van Gogh…
London was very, very hot at the weekend with temperatures reaching 29-30 degrees (Celsius) I knew that wearing a dress would be the best way to keep cool in the city!
I chose to wear my new White Stuff Cornelia Dress:

Wearing Van Gogh To See Frida Kahlo
White Stuff have collaborated with the National Gallery to celebrate one of their favourite artists Vincent van gogh. How appropriate then, that I wore it to see another artist at another museum?
This dress was so easy to wear for a day out, casual but chic, loose fitting (but not sack-like) and it had pockets for those all important travel tickets!
Unfortunately this dress has almost sold out! At the time of my writing this, there were only a few 14’s left!
White stuff have the most original prints, I am a huge fan. So I have chosen some alternatives for you to see:
6 Alternative White Stuff Dresses!
1 : Tove Dress a very similar design and shape to what I am wearing just different print.
2 : Ripple Jersey Dress, the print is so gorgeous it’s made up of birds…see?
3 : Marianne dress a cherry red print of little lady swimmers
4 : Multi Chile Dress
5 : Tivoli Harper Dress so pretty, a perfect holiday dress and its fully lined too!
6 : White stuff dresses, love the colours on this one and it looks like a ‘go anywhere’ dress.
I would happily wear any of the above dresses, but dont just take my word for it click over to White Stuff and see for yourself…
Blooper Alert…!
Just in case you think these pics always come out perfectly here’s one that didn’t, but its fun to share all the same!
No more photos, enough already!
