Sometimes it’s OK to be Less Than Perfect!

Perfection is overrated. Sometimes I dont feel like wearing mascara or lipstick, sometimes I just want to wear a t-shirt and baggy trousers and thats Ok…

Sometimes it's OK to be Less Than Perfect!

Sometimes it’s OK to be Less Than Perfect!

Sometimes …

Sometimes I have a ‘VPL’ yep my knicker lines show! Sometimes I wake up with more creases on my face than a linen sheet, sometimes my belly wobbles when I run, you know what? At 54, thats ok with me too!

I am not perfect, I could point out all my faults to you, but why bother? I am happy, healthy and content with myself. I dont think I could ask for more, am I right?

Sometimes it’s  ok if your roots show and you are having a ‘mad hair day’ who really cares?

Sometimes it's OK to be Less Than Perfect!

This is an outfit post but nothing was gifted. I wore this ‘ensemble’ to the boot fair this fine Sunday morning…A lady told me I looked cool and colourful. Another said she liked my trousers. I think this was because I was merely being my myself! I wasn’t trying to be fashionable or trendy.

No I am not perfect, I could point out all my faults to you, but why bother? I am happy, healthy and content with myself. Sometimes I dont think you could ask for more, am I right?

Sometimes it's OK to be Less Than Perfect!

Appreciating the little things …

Right now a very dear friend of mine is preparing to say goodbye to someone she loves dearly. I can’t think of anything worse than that can you? Does she moan or whine that life is hard and unfair? No she does not, she is an inspiration, she gets on with life. She appreciates the little things, she jokes, we laugh and she reminds me to appreciate everything I have too.

Sometimes it's OK to be Less Than Perfect!

So here I am less than perfect but not giving a tuppence ha’penny (remember those?)

This is not a long wordy post, I just wanted to pop by and say to you its okay to be yourself, wear what you want, smile, life is short, nothing and nobody is perfect…

Sometimes it's OK to be Less Than Perfect!

Smile, life is short and nothing and nobody is perfect and thats ok!

Sometimes it's OK to be Less Than Perfect!

I am wearing:

A big smile all my own, it’s an old one!

And:

Palazzo pants from forever 21

Old T-shirt from Mango, old stan smith trainers and old basket. Sometimes an old t-shirt is all you need!

This is such a fun look! I totally understand not wanting makeup or even curly hair and all that stuff. I love the pants and the pattern and color mxiing you did here!

It s all about feeling good right! We can dress up and wear the most beautiful maquillage, if we don t feel good on the inside it always shows!

Ha! I love it! Always looking “perfect” is highly overrated….and time consuming…..and
just not necessary. My stepmother never left the house until she looked “perfect”. Hours and hours and hours of her life were spent creating a “perfect” appearance. When her name comes up, people will always comment on how “perfect” she always looked. Her mother, in the other hand, rarely took the time to fuss with looking “perfect”. When her name is mentioned people always comment on how kind she was, what a good sense of humor she had, how creative she was, how she made everyone feel special, what a delightful laugh and beautiful smile she had, how she was always willing to give a helping hand. I’d rather be remembered for how I made others feel than for how “perfect” I looked.

I love that story! Yes you are right it is what is on the inside that truly counts.
A big smile and twinkly eyes are the best form of makeup!
thank you for your lovely comment!

It’s good to say **** it sometimes! I’m enjoying being on holiday wearing no make up at the poolside because no one knows me! I really don’t care that they see me. No heirs and graces either!
