On Being In Woman And Home Magazine Why It Means So Much To Me
Woman and Home is a superb magazine, I generally pick it up in the supermarket along with a basket of shopping. This month Marc came home from Tesco’s and suprised me with 3 copies of the May issue!

Why did he buy 3 copies of Woman and Home Magazine?
The reason he bought 3 copies of the of Woman and Home is because, as I am sure you have guessed by now, I am in it!
One of the reasons I like W&H is because it speaks to me as a midlife woman but never patronises me as a reader. The whole ethos of the magazine is to champion women no matter their age. I find Woman and Home are especially supportive to us midlifers or ‘Midsters’ AKA the women who used to be called invisible!
[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””] Yep! me and this little blog of mine, Lazy Daisy Jones has been featured along with 4 other influencers, as an amazing woman over 50! [/perfectpullquote]
Amazing Women 50 over 50 Awards
So yes, because of this little blog of mine, I have been featured along with 4 other bloggers as an “amazing woman over 50” in the social influencers category!
Can you imagine how proud I felt? Not only to be featured with the other superb women in a national UK magazine, but also to be called amazing at 54?
Please dont think I’m bragging because I am not, I am merely feeling very proud and want to share those feelings with you. Because after all without you this blog would not even exist…
Helen Mirren is the covergirl for the May issue, now she is an amazing, gorgeous woman? The interview with her is very interesting too. She uses flannels on her face, to remove her makeup. As do I, I love finding out I have habits in common with beautiful celebrities, maybe there is hope for me yet?

I never get used to reading about myself in a magazine.
Blogging can be hard work!
Now don’t get me wrong I love to blog I am not complaining. However it is hard work and you do it all by yourself.
You have to keep at it, you have to write interesting content, edit and take good quality photos, manage your SEO (search engine optimisation ) so people can actually find and read your blog and then promote everything you do on social media!
Wash, rinse, repeat…

Recognition
To be recognised in this way is a rewarded for ploughing on through those strange days when:
- It feels like no one is even reading this blog and you feel like giving up!
- When everyone else appears to be more successful than you and you wonder why you bother.
- You are ill, but no one else is going to write the posts. So you drag the laptop to your sick bed, feeling very sorry for yourself.
So to be featured is like a tender pat on the back, it is reassuring and encouraging. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside…
All the credit and Thanks must go to You
