In the last couple of years I have once again become fascinated with beauty products. My beauty must haves are a real thing these days. Those shiney little pots and tubes. They are full of wonder and I almost believe they will turn me into a beautiful princess one day?
My latest Beauty Must Haves
It is the promise of the new, the idea that perhaps you have finally found ‘the one’ The one that will turn back the clock and work miracles on my old ‘boat race’ For any US ladies reading this, it is ‘rhyming slang’ for face!
Three New to me Products that I already love…
Benefit Dandelion Twinkle:
A very light twinkly brightening powder that I use on my cheekbones and brow. Helps me look brighter in winter and glowing in summer with a tan (I hope?)
Those shiney little pots and tubes. They are full of wonder and I almost believe they will turn me into a beautiful princess one day?
A handy little tube of smoothness, hides all my lumps and bumps and pores and makes a superb base for my foundation to sit upon! I do think it makes my skin look younger because it fills all the wrinkles. a bit like a magical cement? Available from Boots they even do a travel size too!
I bought this from a recommendation on my Instagram feed. Talk about being easily influenced! But I do prefer a beauty recommendation from someone who I know is a similar age to me, dont you?
Pixi Shea butter lip Balm:
A lip balm with benefits: a wash of colour with soothing moisturising balm. Yep ‘ what it says on the tin’ Always in my handbag, during these winter months . I want the Nectar Honey colour next!
Three tried and tested that I would not like to be without…ie already used and loved.
Bobbi Brown Concealer in sand.
Perfect consistency for my older skin, not to thick but a perfect coverage for my dark circles. I dab on with the wand and blend with my fingers… 15 shades to chose from for the perfect match
Rimmel Insta flawless
Recommended to me by one of my Instagram friends. It’s actually so good I bought tw0 and need another one soon. It’s a primer, but I use it as a light base on its own. Perfect for use on a no make up day as a moisturiser. I use it with concealer for a heavier coverage on ‘I need lots of help’ make up days too. Available in light and medium
It makes my skin glow, really!
Neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair:
This one is a cream I bought from the US I wear it at night. Over the last few months I cant say I have noticed a major difference, but its rich and comfortable. I will buying more this week as I will be in florida again. Not sure if it’s available in the UK as it has retinol in it? If anyone else knows then please let me know.
So that is my six recommendations for you so far. i love to try new things and firmly believe technology is improving our skin care all the time…
I also dont think you have to spend a lot of money to get a decent beauty must have these days. What do you think?
Do you already use any of these or do you have any new favourite beauty must haves of your own to recommend to me?
