Orange is the New Black 5 Over 50 August

Orange is the new Black I have watched every episode. I laughed, cried, cringed and felt almost bereft at the end of each season. Have you seen it yet?

5 over 50:

A monthly outfit challenge for five of us  ‘gals’ who are all over fifty years old. Each month, one of us takes it in turn to set a different theme. August is my turn and I chose the theme ‘Orange is the New Black

Orange is the new Black

The TV series follows Piper Chapman, a privileged New Yorker who ends up in a women’s prison after being charged as a drug runner 10 years earlier.

The Tv programme is based on Piper Kerman’s memoir ‘Orange Is The New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison’

Every colour was destined to be ‘the new black’ and as we all know orange boilersuits have come to represent the prisoner, especially in America. Hence the title of the series.

As a colour lover and a fan of this American TV show I knew immediately what my style challenge for the 5 Over 50 girls would be…
