I say, ‘let’s just pop in for a quick look?’ He translates this as ‘let’s wander around for ages sniffing candles and stroking rugs’!
My recent Homesense treasure hunt…
I will not call this a ‘Homesense haul’ because it’s truly treasure and it’s all mine! Another fab thing about Homesense is that every store has different products, so you really never ever know what you may find.
So here I am just about to enter our local store in Poole, you can’t tell from this pic but I was extremely excited.
First, I tend to wander around, but due to my magpie tendencies I then gravitate towards all the ‘shiny things’ I love this group of unusual accessories below. Faux skull in a bell jar anyone? Yes please!
Next I return to the larger items that first caught my eye. We both loved this huge faux plant and just look how well it fits into my ‘Jungle’ corner at home, I bet you can’t tell the real from the faux eh?
At this point I realised I would probably need two trolleys, and silently thanked my lucky stars that I was not shopping alone. I added a few more fake plants, the more the merrier I say. You can see how attractive they look grouped together, in the pic below. The fake one is in the metal pot, the one next to it is real!
Then candles, always candles, Homesense have such superb ranges and prices are brilliant (don’t you just love the clearance shelves too?)
A quick trip through the kitchen aisles and oven gloves were tossed into the trolley then back in the garden area, I spied a hanging planter for a bargain £10! Next it was over to the checkouts via the stationary shelves, dont you just love my new notebooks…oh and a cute yellow watering can was added to the pile and we were finally finished.
So an hour and a half later, we eventually reached the checkout, which is when I realised that 2 mere shopping bags would not be sufficient to get everything back to the car, we quickly loaded up one of those giant green trolleys!
Not bad for a ‘let’s just pop in for a quick look’ shopping trip eh? Have you found any Homesense treasure recently?
Did you know it is part of the TK Maxx family? So if you love TK Maxx you will simply adore Homesense, but don’t take my word for it find a store near you! And go see for yourself…
