Industrial Mirror has transformed our smallest sitting room!
Industrial Mirror, NYC Loft style.
I am a huge mirror fan and not because I like looking at myself (honestly!) I love to use mirrors as a way to bring light and the illusion of space into our home. A window into wonderland via Alice’s looking glass is how I like to think of them.
We have mirrors everywhere in this house. If you are a regular reader you will have seen our hallway…
I have yet to count them, but I believe there are over 30 up the stairs and into the landing. They are all vintage and we didn’t spend more than £5 on each one (mind you that was a few years ago they appear to have gone up in price since then)
We have two sitting rooms, a large and a small one. The small one is a reading room and a sitting room in the truest sense of the word, comfy and cosy. it has undergone a few changes over the years, you can read more about that here. It used to have wallpaper and looked like this:
Then we freshened it up, and it looked like this: this pic was used in Home and style mag last year!
However the small sitting room although it looks bright in these pics can be dark and appear smaller than it is, especially in winter. I decided we needed a mirror or two.
Loft style Industrial Mirror:
This is how it looks today with this amazing loft style industrial mirror, that marc put up yesterday…
It is a very large Loft mirror with a shelf that is so handy. The metal frame is handmade and has a wonderful industrial feel to it…
Loft Mirror with shelf cost £245 and is available from MirrorDeco they have a helpful face book page too!
That little sitting room is about to undergo yet another change soon, with new wallpaper and everything, so watch this space…?
