Crochet plans for April…
Crochet plans for April include finishing a corner to corner (c2c) blanket, that I started in February last year! This particular pretty blanket project, I have promised myself will be completed by May.
You can read more about it here My problem with this blanket was my inability to focus on choosing a suitable edging pattern. I tried many and undid them all in frustration, nothing was working for me. C2c is a textural simple pattern made using a treble stitch. I wanted the edging to reflect this, I also wanted to use up my scraps of yarn.
Blanket Details
For the central square c2c, I used a size 4mm hook and four balls of red heart yarns ‘unforgettable in candied’ For the edging I am using same size hook and scraps of stylecraft dk yarn.
Finally when this book popped through the letterbox I knew I had found my answer; a granny square edging!
Keeping it simple is always the best plan, so a row of dc, ch 2 followed by a row 3 tr, ch1 suited this blanket down to the ground. By waiting a year I now have more scraps to use up too, so finally I am happy.
My goal is to complete one round (at least) per day, I do not think that is an impossible task do you? Afterall it is the Easter holidays here in the UK so watch this space…
