The story behind the pictures: February
February, so we are already two down and ten to go for 2017. Good grief!
These days, I find my brain is so full of ideas and projects, that I forget exactly what we all got up to in February. Luckily for me, there is always instagram to remind me…
February, so we are already two down and ten to go for 2017…
I have three instagram accounts, yep 3! One is my basic crochet and lifestyle account, Lazy Daisy Jones. Number two is my style account (for old ladies over 50 such as myself) Daisy Jones Style. The third is a community sharing account, called Hands that hook in which I curate and share pics of all my fellow crocheters hands, whilst they hook. That one is growing so fast, it’s becoming hard to keep up with it!
A quick glance at these three accounts and I can see exactly how we spent our days last month…
On the 4th Feb I met up with two of my favourite blogger friends, Natasha from Candy Pop UK and Lucy from Lucy loves Ya We met in Notting Hill for a spot of ‘instagramming’ and then found our way across London to attend the Blogosphere Valentines Party…
So if you follow me on IG and were wondering why I was in london photographing pretty houses, now you know the story behind those photos.
Next came some grey, but interesting images of Weston-Super-Mare.
You may have been wondering why would someone visit a seaside town in the middle of a very rainy month? Well the story behind these pics belongs to this old gal…
She has a chronic kidney condition and every three months, we take her for treatment to a specialised, small animal clinic, that is part of Bristol University’s veterinary teaching hospital. We have to leave her there for the day and usually amuse ourselves by exploring the local areas.
This time after consulting google maps we chose Weston-Super-Mare. I had no idea that Somerset had a beach! Now although it was a cold and grey day, we loved it and plan on going back when it’s warmer to explore more. We were so interested in the old pier…
…and of course there was crochet too, lots of it!
These are all projects I will reveal soon on instagram. Two of them are my own patterns, the top right is a shawl by Kat Goldin.
I hope you survived February intact, I am so ready for sunshine now, I feel it’s been a long winter so far!
bestest wishes…
