JD Williams my latest discovery and newest best friend.
JD Williams is a fashion label that has previously escaped my notice. Until last month that is, as I now look upon JD Williams as my newest best friend!
Fact 1. I shop online.
If I am in town, I will occasionally visit stores I favour. To see and feel and perhaps try on what I plan ordering at home in the future. I find stores rarely have my size on the rail (I am a 12 obviously, a common size that is hard to keep in stock) but always in stock online, with the alternative colour options available to me with one click.
Fact 2. I enjoy shopping.
But I dislike trudging around with aching feet, looking for an assistant to point the way to the fitting rooms. These days I find getting undressed and dressed again is such an effort. I invariably emerge from the fitting room looking like I’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards! I suspect I am not alone
Fact 3. I have a size dilemma.
I am a regular size 12, with long arms. However, I find myself having to go up a size just to get the sleeve length correct. This makes me look so much wider around the waist and chest than I actually am.
My eureka moment… discovering JD Williams!
Why?
Shopping online with JD Williams is a simple and an enjoyable pleasure. Every style is tailored to my taste, age and personal fitting requirements. The quality is unexpectedly high, the details are spot on and all my selections have been worn again and again to a chorus of welcoming compliments from my family and friends.
The icing on the cake? I am a perfect size 12 in JD Williams and the sleeves are a good length too.
(btw. they cater for plus sizes too, going up to a size 32)
My Top Tip: brew a fresh pot of coffee before you sit down to shop.
The 5 things I chose:
1.The little black leather boots: I read recently that every woman needs a pair of little black boots. These are leather with a small 3 inch heel. I recently wore them all around London and my feet were comfy all day. The biggest test for any shoes surely?
How I wore mine: with skinny jeans, boot cut jeans and gaucho jeans! Hmm a boot perfect for jeans then. Must try them with a skirt next?
2. Joanna hope suedette Mac or trench. Tis the season of trench don’t you know? This one is a mock as in faux (love that word) suedette, beautifully lined in gold satin, with poppers down the front and a tie buckle belt. Its warm too.
How I wore mine:
3.Black sleeveless cardi. this is so cosy and allows you to wear pretty sleeves too, plus its perfect for layering, oh did I mention it has pockets? I’m actually wearing it today!
How I wore mine:
4. Silver flat pumps at a bargain price!
Due to the weather I have not actually worn these (apart from dancing around the house) I can report that they are extremely pretty and have a slightly padded comfy inner sole. Their name ‘heavenly soles’ is very apt.
Here is my pretty pic with roses to make you smile…
5. (probably my favourite)
This beautiful pale ivory lace blouse. The fit is perfect, the details are beautiful and the lace is a medium weight. In this pic below the blouse is looks very elegant with that pretty skirt, but that is not a look I could pull off everyday…
….So yep you guessed it I wore mine with jeans! I do have some beautiful tweed wool trousers that it would look amazing with too. the blouse at time of writing was still only £39.99
Here is a quote I found on the JD Williams site, that pretty much sums it all up for me.
“…At JD Williams we pride ourselves on making fashion fit. As experts in size and fit, we understand that your shape is unique and we strive to bring you fashion that fits and flatters your figure at amazing prices. But did you also know we offer an extensive range of Footwear in a wide range of width fittings, Lingerie in sizes 12-32, as well as Menswear in up to a 66 chest and 64 waist?…”
I’m very much looking forward to some sunshine, I’m done with the dreary, grey winter days bring on the Spring I say. Plus I’m already eying up some JD Williams pretty summer dresses. How about you? is anything catching your eye yet?
