Lazy Daisy Jones

Create Sewing

In the press December. I made the front cover!

December 2016…

December was brilliant, but overall I had a very, very good year ‘in the press’ for 2016. Practically every month ‘Lazy Daisy Jones’ myself, or one of my designs made it to a publication.

It will be lots of hard work but I’m aiming for more of the same this year. Proud to say I finished the year on a high having made the front cover of Bag Making essentials!

I finished the year on a high having made the front cover…

Bag Making Essentials Issue 3 is a bookazine published by the same publishers as ‘Love sewing’ magazine.

Last Autumn I was commissioned to write a tutorial for a bag and matching purse using a pom pom theme, in Autumnal, jewel like colours. Talk about a dream job, I was in heaven. Can you imagine being paid to go fabric shopping, design a project and then sew it up? Yep simply heaven I say, and the icing on the cake was to actually see it on the front cover wooohooo…!

I haven’t got my copy yet but I’m looking forward to receiving it very soon, meanwhile here are a few more details of the actual bag. Both bag and purse are fully lined, the bag also has a bobble trimmed pocket for your  small essentials.

So what do you think? If you want to make this matching set, change up the fabrics or trims, imagine it in denim?

Then you will have to buy Issue three of December ‘Bag making essentials’ out now…
