My plans, dreams, hopes and aspirations for 2017…?
Like many of you, I don’t do resolutions. I do plans, dreams, hopes and goals. I plan because if you don’t have a plan how are you going to get what you want or where you want to be?
This year I am writing down in words what I would like. I believe it gives life to a dream to write it down in black and white.
I am very much looking forward to 2017. I feel I have everything I need to face it head on and make the most of it.
I consider 2016 to have been a bridging year. ‘LDJ’, grew from a blog about crafts into a space that reflected my home, my passions, my style and my interests. To put it simply it became a creative lifestyle blog.
In 2017 I want to hone that style. To sharpen it into a blog that encompasses the whole of my lifestyle.
To that end I plan to add a fashion category. Yes (don’t laugh) even at my age, and why not I say? I may be over 50 but I’m still alive and kicking and I still love clothes and shopping on line! I have even quietly started a new
I also plan on getting out and about more. I will be brave this year and accept those event invitations I receive, I have promised myself I will attend more blogger events. The ones I did attend last year I thoroughly enjoyed. The best bit? is getting to meet my fellow bloggers.
A personal Blogging Goal
My word of the year for 2017 regarding blogging will be ‘Consistent’ I will aim to be consistent about publishing posts. I plan on writing in advance rather than on a whim. This will probably be the hardest thing I do this year.
Home Goals (!)
Did you see what I did there? A footballing pun.
Last year Marc decorated many rooms in our home. This year although I have a few moves planned, we will be slowing down on the painting. We are already half way through a new office for me and a larger room for the teenager.
I want to de-clutter, I want a calmer home and I want to enjoy the garden more in 2017.
We plan on travelling more this year. As a family and as a couple.
As a family, we have a NYC trip in the planning. New York is one of my favourite cities in the world and I want to share it with my loved ones.
As a couple, we plan weekend breaks in the UK and in Europe too. Spending quality time with the ones I love the most is going to be a priority for me this year.
In a nutshell… my plans, dreams, hopes and goals are to be brave, explore more and spend time with the people I love this year. Simple really.
I could go on, I have lots more plans, dreams and hopes, but these are private ones. It’s a bit like making a birthday wish and keeping it to yourself, because if you tell it won’t come true!
I am raising my cup to the next year. Hello 2017, welcome to my life!
