A spring summer preview? I know its December, and Christmas blog posts and twinkly lights are all around us, but
I love looking forward as well as back at this time of year. So today I’m sharing a preview of a few of the highlights from Laura Ashley’s fabulous home range for Spring and Summer 2017.
I have three favourites to share:
1. The Garden Room collection:
When I think of Spring I think about getting out into the garden and seeding and planting for summer. How delighted was I to see ‘A garden room’ complete with gardening accessories and just look at that chair? I’d pop it all straight into my conservatory wouldn’t you? The print is called ‘living wall’ It ties in beautifully with Pantone’s colour of the year called ‘Greenery’ overall it looks like 2017 will be a very Botanical year?
2. Natural by Design.
The next collection from the s/s 17 range that caught my eye is called ‘Natural by design’ I loved it. However as someone who adores colour and will not allow beige in the house (apart from a very old sofa) my choice suprised me. What impressed the most with this collection was how tactile it was. Nubbly, textural cushions and furry footstools anyone? Yes please and a big thumbs up from me!
Park House
The third collection I want to share is called Park house (very park lane actually) Designed for the bedroom and the sitting room with a pale silver grey being the predominant colour. Mixed with peachy pink, and rose gold highlights in the bedroom and all combined with a natural dark wood. My favourite piece from this collection? That wallpaper!
Looking back at my choices I am again suprised at how neutral they are. Perhaps natural and calm is the new colour palette for me next year?
Do you have a favourite collection from this range, are you looking forward to spring as much as I am now the days are so short and grey?
