Two new crochet books, released on the 2nd August, that you may like to know about?
Two New Crochet Books
These two are part of the ‘Annie’s Crochet’ range. American, more like ‘bookazines’ than actual books and superbly priced. They are jam packed with simple and very cute projects. I already have a few of the ‘Annie’s’ range in my collection…

‘Afghans’ are what the Americans call crochet blankets. Now I dont have any babies in the family to crochet for, but for me the stitch combinations in these projects are what I like the most.
There are some simple stitches, used in very clever combinations. I want to make larger versions just for us. Stitch charts are included and projects the range from easy to the more intermediate designs.
Oh and just look at that cutie pie baby!
Next: Read more crochet and craft book reviews by Lisa Gentry again superb value at £6.99.
I always look out for the Annie’s Christmas releases, because no one knows how to celebrate the Christmas holiday season like the Americans, right?
In this book you will find 15 ‘jolly’ projects for home and gifts. All presented in traditional colours and all based around the granny square. I particularly like the stocking project and the tree skirt.
This is an excellent book for the older child who wants to make projects for their family as gifts for Christmas. My inspiration is seeing the granny back in action in these lovely candy cane colours. Because we all know by now that granny squares rock!
Is anyone organised enough to have even started thinking about Christmas crochet projects? If so this book is for you!
