June, it rhymes with tune and the moon. June also happens to be my Mum’s middle name. I love the sound of the word. I even like the simple four letters that go into making it.
When we get our new female puppy (perhaps next year) I would like to call her June.
My June went like this…
I subscribed and received my first little box of crochet I am saving it to take on our holiday, a perfectly portable project containing everything I need.
My 14 year old son signed up for and acquired his own allotment. We are helping him clear it and came across this little birds nest … shhhhhh.
We were given an abundance of glorious fruit and flowers. Farmers as relatives comes with living in Dorset!
I made excellent progress on the Fridas Flowers crochet along and almost caught up. These ‘Heart Roses’ turned into the picture below…
Marc and I drove up to the picturesque midlands for a working weekend. I showed a group of superb women to sew my pattern .The one I designed for Simplicity Patterns number 8087. These are the two versions I made (an adult and a child’s version) that I took up to show them…
…and this is what they made! Amazing or what? There were a couple of children’s dresses, a tunic and a couple of gorgeous adult dresses. I was so proud of them all. I plan on writing a whole blog post about my weekend, with all the details. Coming soon…the shop alone deserves a post to itself.
Of course I started some more new projects, yes even before I have finished all the others I have on the go. why? Why not? I say, because that is how I rock n’ roll.
Marc experimented on a new project idea for me, he very cleverly removed the bases from a couple of his old demijohns…I have plans (more on this later)
And of course there was this… for all of us, in June. It was made a little easier by my friends pretty cockerpoo, she even agreed to pose for a polling day pic. Isn’t she gorgeous?
Hmmm I would love one like her and guess what I would call her? yep June!
Bestest summer wishes to you and yours
