At the beginning of May we visited our favourite boot fair. It is a half an hour drive from home, so makes for a very early morning start! I am not a morning person and definitely not an early starter, so my incentive to get up is the treasure we will come home with.
A boot fair is all about the luck of the draw, being in the right place at just the right time, perhaps when a treasure is being unwrapped and no one else has spotted it?
Very often I will see the ladies that sell at the vintage ‘Brocantes’ rummaging in boxes too. This time we came home with a few bags of booty; some for display purposes, some for pure nostalgia…
Vintage sewing treasure…
Beautiful books…and two old apothecary bottles.
A childhood memory!
My summer project…Macrame
We also bought lots and lots of plants. Have you discovered any ‘booty’ lately?
