Our Home In Print
December has been a busy, happy month I hope it has been a happy one for you too. We are in print, as in the royal we! I work part time, blog in my spare timework on extra ‘projects’ I call my ‘bits and pieces’ Sometimes I blog about them and sometimes I forget!
We have tried to restore and reuse wherever possible. Marc restored that red chair in the kitchen, after I rescued it from a skip.
The highlight of my December was seeing our home in a magazine actually in print we all felt so proud! I know we all have different tastes and opinions as to what is ‘style’ and what is not. But seeing pictures in a magazine of our home, made me feel super proud. Maybe I am not the only one who thinks our home is good looking?
We have tried to restore and reuse wherever possible. Marc restored that red chair in the kitchen, after I rescued it from a skip. The vintage Pyrex was bought from boot fairs and we have a large kitchen table Marc made from scaffold planks.
Even the Kitchen made it to the article!
The pictures are of the corner of the lounge, 3 views of the kitchen, and a corner of the sitting room. Did you notice the tag line…” we take you past the front door of the UK’s most stylish homes” (gulp) This article is in Very magazine its out now as part of the ‘OK magazine’ publishing bundle.
The reality of being in print . . .
Some people might think that a lot of tidying up is done for ‘pretty pictures’ like these. The ones that appear in blogs and magazines. That may be true some of the time but just to prove it is not always so. This was one of those same views taken on a messy Monday morning after a busy weekend .I did not move a thing, just took a couple of snaps, the big lounge however, is a mess and is covered in yarn.
Shame it is so dark and rainy here today, hence the lamp is on. It is a however a restored Anglepoise lamp (one that Marc fixed up earlier in the year)
