Its finally arrived! Vanessa Mooncie’s Animal heads

Trophy Heads to crochet!
Oh my goodness I am so excited to try a project from this book. I may even have to start tonight!…

I pre ordered it on Amazon weeks ago, then patiently waited and waited. It finally arrived yesterday. Any one else ordered it yet?

I am supposed to be doing something else right now, but having picked it up for a little peep and I cannot put it down!

I have therefore decided to share it with you right here and now.

I have two of Vanessa’s other books, the wild creatures book is where my crochet flamingo ‘Enid’ came from and I also have the sea creatures book. I have no problems crocheting from them at all.

I would only say that you have to concentrate and count your stitches for best results. The beauty of Vanessa’s books in my opinion is that she includes charts and instructions. So helpful to have both, if I get stuck on one I refer to the other.

I do have a considerable problem with this book; I don’t know what to make first!
I think some yarn shopping may be in order. Well what is a girl supposed to do when faced with the temptation of starting a new project?

I will keep you informed of my progress and I am sure my Instagram feed will be full of the project I eventually choose.

Best

Id love it if you shared this post!

I am stuck on the hare. On the shoulder rows 12-16. The instruction to do 1 dc in front of first dc confuses me. I'm not sure what that means and my stitch count is off as well.

I have the same problem as Marlaina Mccarty. What does the instruction "1dc in front of the first dc" mean? I need to crack the code since other patterns in the book use this instruction. Any ideas gratefully received, thank you 🙂 Carel

Now it's times like this I really do wish I could crochet, but they look so complicated, good luck. x
