Actually by the time I had completed this project it was the middle of Autumn already…
Inside Crochet is one of my favourite crochet magazines, although it is much harder to find locally than Simply Crochet which is in most of my local newsagents. (I think a subscription may be the answer?)
One of the reasons I like Inside Crochet is that it is useful to refer back to. Therefore if I am stuck for crochet inspiration, I haul out my back issues and I can always find a pattern to inspire me.
Like this one, from issue 69;
The Details:
Pattern designed by: ‘Red Sparrow Crochet’ from inside crochet magazine Issue 69.
Hook size as per pattern 5mm and a 4mm for the edging.
Yarn: stylecraft chunky: 1 x ball of Navy, 1 x ball of grey, 1 x ball of spice, 1 x ball of dark purple, 2 x ball of mustard, scrap of stone.
My Notes: I was using up my leftover scraps up so you probably will have some left over from this pattern too. The colours are as random as I could be. You will need more of your highlight colour if you use it as an edging too. The yarn weight for the decorative edging was a dk weight (it makes it more lace like)
It took me about five evenings to crochet whilst watching TV. A simple well written pattern.
Best
PS. I am re naming this my ‘late evening TV shawl’ its for those times when you stay up late and the fire goes out, but you cant be bothered to go out and fetch more logs so you pop on your shawl!
