The teen has a virus, therefore not well enough to go out, but not ill enough to stay in bed all day .
We cancelled our evening plans and decided to stay home and keep an eye on him.
Instaed I planned some garden entertainment as a consolation prize for him feeling unwell and being very good about it….
I heaved out the blankets and cushions from the lounge and re-arranged the garden furniture…
I made it look very pretty (I cannot resist)
The lanterns were a boot fair bargains from last year, the jam jar tea-light holders were wired up by the other half who also made the Shepherd hooks to hang them on, told you he was clever!
We had been given a windfall of pears. The talented other half makes wine with them.
Naughty guests arrived and stole pears…
The teen came out of his room, brought a ‘toy’ and lit the fire…
I sat down for what felt like the first time that day! Of course there was crochet, well you cant sew in the garden as in ‘sewing machine sewing’ now can you?
As the light faded we roasted the pears in tin foil. Then tucked in to the soft caramel tasting squishy fruit hmmmmm…..
After that it was homemade curry for supper and an early night for all of us….
