I have ‘found and discovered’ some new crochet people to admire. They have inspired me via my Instagram game #ldjcrochethookup. You may already know and admire them too?…
Some of you may find these games a bit silly? but I have to tell you I have found so many new designers, crocheters and projects to inspire me, that I am so glad I took the time to organize and host it. I hope if you are playing along you agree? You can read more about it here
PLEASE NOTE: There are many, many more people I could share with you (but I am so tired today and I need an early night) therefore I will start with these three talented ladies. However I will keep taking notes…. ( I am driving my other half nuts with bedtime note taking!) anyway, watch this space
I realise that some of you are not on instagram, therefore I feel it is my yarny duty to introduce you to each other. Two of these ladies have blogs so you may be interested in following their blogs?
In no particular order may I introduce…
Just Pootling;
“a blog about crochet knitting and a love of all things yarny, with a few snippets of loveliness thrown in for good measure”
I must say Kate you had me at ‘crochet’!
Kate has a pretty blog here
I particularly admire Kate’s choice of colour palettes and I adore her blankets. I really wish I could be more subtle in my colour choices. the bag on the right is a free pattern the link for it is on Kate’s blog.
Flower House Jane;
Jane describes herself as ‘a lover of flowers with a big crochet crush’ I like that don’t you? it probably describes most of us?
It is this project that caught my eye, I love, love, love those ice cream colours! Jane also has some gorgeous blankets on her blog.
Pony Tales;
I love this lady’s sense of style and fun; no blog (yet) but her IG account is here do take a look!
And she makes star wars figures…so whats not to love?
I only wish she lived in the same country as me then one day I could hope to bump into her!
Two facts: (all gained from my ig game its fascinating, i cant wait to see what comes up next)
Fact One:
The most popular crochet book, that many of us have, want or have made something from is
Nicki Trench’s ‘Cute and easy crochet’ I have it do you?
Fact two:
You all love crochet borders more than fringes!
I love both, but I am a huge fan of knotted fringes you can see my easy tutorial on how to make one here
…and of course my poncho with a fringe is my most viewed post ever….and I still dont know why?
Bestest Tuesday wishes to you…
