sewing with Lillestoff fabric
I truly do…organic cotton, stretch jersey, retro, colourful prints, bright, ethical, so many favourite words in there and all encapsulated by Lillestoff…
I would never ever blog or recommend anything that I did not believe in, or use myself. I noticed lillestoff sometime ago and gazed wistfully at their gorgeous fabrics, (stretch cotton Jersey is sadly lacking in choice where I live, but is a fabric I enjoy sewing)
Imagine my suprise and delight, when Lillestoff contacted little old me and asked if they could send me some fabric, anything I wanted!
My first choice is this one its called ‘Diamonds’ in olive, a 95% organic cotton and 5% spandex. I used an old 1970’s vintage pattern and shortened it to a tunic. Comfortable, cool to wear and organic! whats not to like?
This was the result: I like to think it is moving towards a ‘Boho’ style, what do you think?
My next makes are two Papercut Ensis t-shts or maybe three (its such a superb pattern) ….coming soon!
Ps. Thanks once again must go to to my ever patient man who is fast becoming my preferred
photographer, in actual fact he is my only photographer apart from the 13 year old !
