Sewing Butterick B4790 the walk away dress
Oh yes!….I too jumped on the bandwagon when the GBSB gang sewed the walk away dress.
This is my version …
An easy, quick sew, especially if you love sewing on bias binding as much as I do!
I already had the pattern from a few years ago, the fabric too was from my stash.
I also found a similar pattern in my collection but worn the other way around.
Now I have sewed the first version, I actually prefer the other version…
I changed a few details….
I laced up the front using metal eyelets and a pink ribbon, very ‘Disney Princess’ I think?
I also lengthened the skirt by about 10cms…..
I was trying to make these pictures all soft focus and romantic?
I almost succeeded?
However, please excuse that fluffy little bottom on the lower left…..!
Have you made one, either recently or in the past?
Here he is again, the funny thing is I didn’t know he was there until I started looking at my pictures.
I think the picture above is one of my favourites, I might even get it framed?
He and I spend most of the day together, especially if I am sewing from home.
He is my constant companion…
