The sunshine visited Dorset today, as a result I am feeling very ‘spring like’ my imagination has turned towards all things Easter…
I don’t go ‘over the top’ on festive décor of any kind, mainly because I am too lazy to put it all away again, after the event!
However, the weather in the UK has been so grey for so long now, it is nice to be able to inject some ‘spring zing’ into the house….wanna see?
I first got into spring mode by crocheting this crochet blossom.
My latest crochet Easter deco critters look like this… I intend to add them to the crocheted spring blossom vase..
Do you want to give them a go? I would love to share how I made them with you …
OK first choose 3 colours, it works best with just 3…its your choice, pastels, brights even neons whatever, anything goes!
I chose white black and blush pink.
These eggs are crocheted using the amigurumi method of working in the round, using double crochet only (SC in USA).
This is a patterns I found very helpful HERE
When you have six eggs, make six hats using the spring blossom pattern HERE as before.
I sewed some pretty sparkling beads onto each hat, they twinkle as they spin in the breeze.
Embroider six felt faces and cut out, hand sew to each egg, finally add a hanging ribbon.
You can even get the children involved and ask them to paint the egg box?
Tra la la….. easy peasy.
So what do you think?
Bestst weekend wishes
