This months Mollie Makes features a little gem of a crochet make on its front page. It caught my eye and persuaded me to buy the magazine. I call that a successful front cover…
I crochet in front of the TV, it is a form of relaxation, whereas sewing takes place in my sewing room upstairs, tucked away, where no one can disturb me….
When I crochet I take over half the sofa and spread my yarn and paraphernalia all over the coffee table.
I constantly lose my scissors, so I have taken to wearing them around my neck fixed to a lanyard. Even with all these sensible precautions, I can still be heard saying to anyone within earshot “have you seen my scissors” losing it or what?
My stitch markers are the one thing I cannot live without when hooking a new project, well can you count stitches and follow the intricacies of “House of Cards” at the same time?
This pattern was easy to follow and quick to hook up. Two things that make for an excellent project in my opinion….
I did not have any cotton yarn , so I used some dk red heart yarn from my stash.
Sticking with a 4mm hook, as per pattern instructions.
The ears were worked in double crochet, in the round and then sewn to the main body.
The fun part was embroidering the features and seeing a little creature peering at me with a puzzled expression.
A super fresh and cheerful spring project…what are you hooking up at the moment?
