Crochet, Kat Goldin and Mollie Makes 50th issue!
Fifty issue of Mollie Makes!
Congrats!
I remember the first issue of Mollie Makes. It sold out quickly.
It was possibly the first ‘craft’ magazine that recognised craft wasn’t all about making ‘cards’ or cut n’stick papercrafts, Mollie Makes recognised that there were original crafters out in the real world, who designed from scratch.
These were the people we all wanted to read about and they still inspire us all today!
Mollie Makes has changed over that time…. change is good we all have to do it!
However I don’t buy every issue and I don’t subscribe anymore.
I flicked through this issue yesterday, I liked it so I bought it..simple….
This pattern, by the awesome talented, Kat Goldin caught my eye.
Last night whilst the tv was on, I hooked up this deceptively simple crochet hanging….
It is a ‘stash buster’ project…….I changed the colours, to suit my yarn stash …I have very few neutrals!
I added an extra row..
and made the tassels fatter…
I think I will add a feather or two later?
Give it a go, if you pick up Mollie Makes this month?
