A granny poncho will be your best friend for spring and summer. Light weight pretty and perfect for slinging around your shoulders whilst sitting outside on a fresh UK summer evening. I adore my granny poncho and would love to share some pics and details on making one.
Granny Poncho Love
My most popular blog post from the last couple of months is one I published on 24th November 2014..t was about crocheting that Poncho from a pattern in Simply Crochet magazine issue 25…If you are interested you can read all about it HERE with all the crochet poncho details too.
That Granny Poncho Post is very Popular!
I have no idea why this post received so much attention, maybe it was shared somewhere? I love the poncho, but lots of people have made it, so nothing unusual there? Maybe you have seen it shared around the ‘blogosphere’ if so do let me know!
A finished fringe . . .
I only half finished the fringe and left the other half swinging in the breeze! However my Mum recently came to stay, all the way from her home in Florida and I persuaded her to help…She patiently and expertly cut the fringing to its required length, divided it into groups of five and handed it to me to hook onto the poncho. In this way, between us the poncho was finally finished, thanks Mum!
I took my granny poncho for a Sunday Stroll
This weekend, the weather being bright and fresh the poncho went on a ‘walkabout’ with the dog. The pooch however was more interested in the birds. I like the way the colours show up against the muddy tones of the riverside in mid January. Roll on spring I say..because I miss the colour.
