Day Four
My ‘talented other half ‘suggested I need some “real work experience” as in proper work.
Do you think he doesn’t regard ‘sewing’ as real work? Surely not?
I decided to take him up on his offer of ‘real work’ experience…..
I dressed for the occasion in my latest version of my vintage simplicity pattern.
This time: a sleeveless top with button fastening at the back, and a contrast bow as chosen by the 12yr old!
Talking of the 12yr old look what he bought me from a boot fair he was at recently!
So suitably dressed, a casual look for ‘work experience’ I thought?
Maybe not?
Pull it? what! like this?………but my hands will get oily!
Push it???
Like this?
easy ……what’s next?
Uh oh…..surely not!
Ok not funny, its hot and dirty in here….get me out now!
Anything else you need doing?
nooooo…..its too high….!
My new top will get rust on it…….!!
and my hands are absolutely filthy…..
Thanks for the experience darling but I am off home to have a coffee.
Then I might do some sewing for owop…..now that is what I call real work.
see you soon…have a lovely day! whatever you are doing….
